Message from Vice Chairman and ESG Project Leader
As we know, not only severely damaged the physical economy of the world, but also changed the way of human life and work since the outbreak of COVID-19 had spread rapidly across the world in 2020, coupling with the instability and crisis caused by
geopolitical tensions, the overall companies are facing a very severe challenge for their survival and sustainable development.
We know the reason why a company should coexist with ecological environment for the prosperity. For developing sustainably, a company should involve in protecting environment activities as striving for the prosperity, so to speak. Therefore, JHOC is actively responding to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) established by the United Nations. In fact, JHOC already took Green Manufacturing as the cornerstone
of the company's sustainable operation when founded in 2008. To put this concept into operation, JHOC is endeavoring to become a critical part of the green supply chain, and continuously optimizing sustainable practices, including the introduction of green concepts into innovative production technologies, and implementing green management in daily operations for building a safe and healthy workplace.
Besides, JHOC has called for the integration of internal and external resources of the company to actively keep on investing in the activities of local care and ecological conservation, and set the vision goals for medium and long-term development with specific actions to form a virtuous cycle and increase green influence since 2018. For example, JHOC cooperates with the Nature Jacana Conservancy Park in Tainan and
meanwhile, we promote organic farming to protect the Jacana birds, which results in a good recognition and reputation from the communities.
In recent years, as ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) has effectively helped the societies improve their overall environment and sustainable development, more and more international investors think highly of the companies that emphasize the importance of sustainability, and a lot of companies are beginning to realize the necessity of ESG, consequently, there are many companies
that put it into their operations by policy or strategy. Definitely, ESG has become the best indicator to see if a company is moving forward on the path of sustainable development.
As for JHOC, both ESG and SDGs are the concepts of sustainable development in succession. We combine them at the good base of green manufacturing and ecological conservation. We promise to abide by ethical norms, improve the life quality of the employees and their families, local environment, and entire community and society. In the mean time, we will keep protect nature conservancy
and environment to accomplish the sustainable value of ESG, and do something good to the earth.
Looking forward to all JHOC colleagues to keep improving and moving ahead in their own positions, be brave to change and innovate, and take the sustainable development as a goal and put it into action with systematic strategies and ESG spirit. Let's work together and advance to a bright future.

SUSTAINABILITY MANAGEMENT Environmental & Ecology
⬛Take part in cleaning up the natural habitats for the Pheasant-tailed Jacanas, and launch the “Forever Love & Sustainability for the Jacanas” project.
In order to preserve the Jacanas that are becoming extinct and protect the ecological environment on which the Jacanas survive, JUN HONG responded to the plan of cleaning up the jacana habitats held by the JACANA ECOLOGICAL EDUCATION PARK in Guantian, Tainan at the end of the year 2021. The chairman couple carried out the plan in person and led a number of employees and their families who rolled up their trousers and walked into the conservation pond for pulling out the weeds that are not conducive to the living of jacanas. Chairman Lin announced the “Forever Love & Sustainability for the Jacanas” project in the mean time.
⬛Eliminate the apple snails to prevent the ecology of the conservation pond from being harmed.
In mid-April 2022, Chairman Lin once again led the entire staff of JUN HONG to assist the JACANA ECOLOGICAL EDUCATION PARK to remove the apple snails that caused damage to the ecological balance in the Jacana conservation pond and meanwhile, cleaned up the environment of the park to maintain the habitats for facilitating the endangered Jacanas' living and growing.
⬛Collaborate with ROTARY in supporting the friendly (pesticide-free) farming.
In order to build a virtuous circle of ecological environment for facilitating the survival and growth of those pheasant-tail Jacanas, JUN HONG specially held a public charity event in the JACANA ECOLOGICAL EDUCATION PARK in Guantian, Tainan on November 5, 2022, which was called as“JUN HONG joins ROTARY supporting friendly farming.”During the event, the chairman of JUN HONG invited other entrepreneurs to subscribe for more than a thousand copies of organic agricultural products as charity for carrying out their promises to support the conservation concept and a friendly farming environment.

⬛Start up the love for the elderly through JUN HONG's care activities.
There are many high-age people living alone and lonely without being cared in Guantian District. At the end of 2020, JUN HONG collaborated with Huashan Foundation in carrying out the community charity activity called as "Cleaning up the houses for the elderly ".
⬛JUN HONG brings warmth to the community with season's greetings.
On January 16, 2023, JUN HONG held a charity activity of "Send Warmth to community at the Year-end". The chairman couple led the company colleagues to bring nutrition, milk powder cans, organic rice, clothes and other materials, and went together with HUASHAN Foundation staff to visit the elderly who are living alone in the community. Hopefully, JUN HONG people helped them up with the red fortune couplets that can bring them warm care and condolences in the cold season and increase the atmosphere of the Lunar New Year.
Governance
⬛The Chairman was awarded the Contribution Prize.
On November 12, 2020, JUN HONG actively participated in the Taiwan-Japan Enterprise Exchange and Social Club for the purpose of promoting Taiwan-Japan friendship with technology improvement and business management. Chairman Lin has won the recognition with the prize.
⬛JUN HONG was awarded the Golden Torch Prize by Innovative Design achievement.
JUN HONG was recognized by Golden Torch Award of the 17th Top Ten Enterprises in 2022 due to an outstanding performance in INNOVATIVE DESIGN (Multilayer Film Sputtering Technology). Chairman Lin honorably represented the company to receive the award. |
